Yeah that's what I mean it's release date is Sept something surely it's common sense to give people the option to buy legally straight after the leak.. Even if ur not gonna promote the track by having the video & performances prepped for the iTunes release as you should..

S/N Was on Makeba's FB today & it says her former jobs were EMI Music Publishing/BAD BOY publishing/RocNation I never knew she was even related to Bad Boy did she write for any of the artists? [not that I remember Cassie on 'Can't Do It Without U' thats about all I got..]

Let's see how it plays out, I'm not expecting an album within a month...

She did a Dream track, at least, and weren't 3LW Bad Boy-related? At any rate she's been signed to Bad Boy since her first releases. That's probably what got her the first JHo tracks...

No that's just the single release that's what I'm saying its still a month til people can legally buy it haha The album isn't til Nov earliest..

Not that I know of they definitely weren't signed to BB anyway... Regardless she definitely wasn't on many BB artist releases as you'd think being signed to their publishing would have loved her to write for Faith, 112, Cassie at least..

Ah OK now I follow...at any rate I don't think Roc Nation has much to say about her releases & promotion, isn't she 'just' managed by them, then their involvement would be mostly in the actual creative dept, hooking her up with the right people etc, her record company releases her singles etc, not them...

Well there was the Cassie track, how many albums exactly 'could' she have been on? I wouldn't know who they've even had over the years...? Faith Evans obviously but she doesn't ever seem to work with big different names, no releases at least [I would assume she did at least something for herself with S&K for instance at some point, if she was featured on 2 tracks by them]. I dunno when 112 disbanded or whatever, but I think it might've been before 'her time' [I estimate late 2002 / early 2003]? Did they have an album after the one that had Peaches & Cream and the other hit? And wasn't most of their stuff written by Pooh Bear or am I exaggerating again?

Yeah I don't think there would have been many releases around that point for her to go on tbh depends when it was exactly she was with them but BB are notoriously shit anyway so that's probably why she got no placements haha

Like I said I'm pretty sure she was with them from her first placements on but just ask her, she'll tell you...? I don't think there have been that many likely albums, Cheri Dennis maybe, Danity Kane she obviously did work with. I thought Michelle Bell & Angela Hunte have both been with Bad Boy for years as well and their releases don't necesarilly reflect that either, but they started with JHo albums and [well excluding Makeba as far as we know] they and Kandi for instance were all pretty much shipped off to Europe to work with Murlyn etc at some point, there's some line there even if it's not Bad Boy's own [sparse] releases exactly...

Just so I don't forget + in case you hadn't noticed she [Kelly Sheehan] also wrote Pick Up The Pieces on Jãsón Dêrülò's album w/ Livvi and Tiffany Fred...Claude did Be Careful and Bleed Out is Kara DioGuardi [thought I'd mention it since it sounds a little James-y guess she caught some of the crazy off him working with him for a while], the rest is luckily all crap...

Did you check out that video in full? Very sexy, that comfort zone voiceof hers Razz but anyway that song ["R.I.P."] has those vocals from I'm Ready For You can't believe I got that right haha surely that's a StarGate / Chase & Status track though...unfortunately she mentioned having worked with will.i.am as well ugh...there better be a James track...!

Will.i.am is hit & miss I think he should be good with her if he takes the soulful sound they seem to be going with Wink OMG that's so awesome it didn't even click when I heard the new title on Rap-Up hopefully this means shell place What If I Kissed You too her & Alexis have both had the lyrics on their Twitters at some point so I'm sure they both recorded it..

Hm could be, I remember that, but maybe she just liked the song, Drake did specifically say he had written it for Rita, since she was in his video and all...since he only had a clip on his mixtape and the full has leaked I guess it's possible but I also expect them to go with all-new, not-leaked-in-any-way material...

What's a different song? I thought you could only hear the beat in the background & it's called RIP cos Drake says it at the start? I'm guessing she just added bits to it def agree it could be Chase & Status though Wink

Nah it doesn't sound like the same track to me, more like the tracks were done around the same time and they [StarGate] just threw in that line from RIP on I'm Ready For You like Tim did w/ Back Together...but we should know soon enough [hopefully], it's the single, so...

Looks like I wasn't right anyway, was listening to some old Chase & Status tracks again [they remixed this] and well...just listen :

So...them using it in RIP [I still assume it's a real track and we're hearing the instrumental] makes sense enough but why did StarGate use it on a track I doubt Chase & Status had anything to do with? It seemed very familiar when I first heard I'm Ready For You so I figured it was something from a 90s Dance track that they had Rita sing and shoved in there at first but I guess maybe it just sounded familiar cause I already knew the Heartbeat remix before without really knowing it...anyway, I just hope RIP is Makeba / StarGate / Chase & Status and the single and not Facemelt, from what I've heard of it so far I'm not a fan but the original might be ok...

Yes, the "Ca-ca-can-you-fee-fee-feel-my-hea-hea-hea-hea-heart-is-bea-ting" thingy is from Nneka - Heartbeat [she's German, just so you know / don't think it's from the depths of some Central-African jungle]. You should at least get the Chase & Status remix, it's pretty good, rock/dubstep like Brixton Briefcase [I tend to not like their DnB stuff, so...]

OMFG we were 2 weeks away from hearing the single and now they've switched it AGAIN and dropped that Bonnie McKee demo track instead! WTF! I mean its a decent track but its just like all the Katy Perry songs she did RIP is a MUCH better representation of who I THOUGHT she was gonna be as an artist. I just hope this is to get as much initial success for her as possible before they go into the riskier/darker sound of 'RIP' like Jessie J sold out on 'Domino'... [although unlike Rita she was shit anyway]
