COCAINE 80SSSSSSSSSSS...!!!!!! - The Dreamer / The Believer - Think Common Music Inc / Warner Bros

Be forewarned, too much to fucking handle, I've been grinning ear to ear all the time while listening, it's fucking epic, No ID is on fucking point, a perfect mix between his early 90s Common stuff and his new organic sound, James just doing what he does on half the album, no holds barred [he's on the b-section of Blue Sky at 2:30 too], plenty of Makeba to go around as well [think her vocals are sort of sampled on The Dreamer as well?], this is a fucking Cocaine 80s album and not a solo Common one in the slightes bit...and Common just posted the other day he was talking to James about ideas, these bitches are far from done....can't befuckinglieve how much time James on some of the tracks towards the end of the album Very Happy

BTW the chick on Raw sounds familiar, wonder who it is...hope we get full credits soon, allmusic usually has them up towards the weekend at least I think, I figure there should be plenty of Randolph/Wyreman as well...

Haha you mean that Jay-Z / Kanye West album? I haven't even listened to any of that...although I kinda wanted to after that methhead review by Ghostface Killah LMFAO

Yeah I haven't even bothered listening as the 3 tracks I did hear were awful I will give it a chance eventually in case there's a few standouts plus Lonny's on a couple featured... haha oh yeah I read that he's such a fucking ghetto crackhead..

OMG its just as awesome as I expected! The beats are totally old school and the interludes/backgrounds from James + Makeba are gorgeous would have liked more features though as with 'Electric Circus' hoping to hear more as I get through the album!

Yeah same here I strill need to get Franny's features on that and some other album but other than that I'm not interested...

Yeah it's like his old Common stuff but with his current low-fi Cocaine 80s etc sound, it's fucking great, Cloth is my shit...that or Gold as well as Blue Sky should be singles, they obviously went with the hardest hip-hop tracks when they're not representative for the album at all...

Apparently it's not Makeba on Celebrate but Hannah Sibide BTW [who's also on Raw, Makeba did write both]...is it just me or is that wrong, it def sounds like Makeba to me, that Hannah chick has a much much rawer voice?
