Haha they're just Rico Loves in-house producers they did some tracks on the Michelle album, Kellys Feelin Me Right Now, Teairra tracks & now this which is GORGEOUS! Smile

It's a lot more modern sounding for a start so I hope she does more contemporary R&B this album or at least finds a balance between that & neosoul/retro this is perfect for her.

We got Andrea's demo to 'Gone & Never Coming Back' today I never bothered listening to Melanie's version when it dropped but I'm gonna check it out now its a beautiful track the verses remind me of MJ.. definitely not single material though so I can see exactly why it tanked as I've already said they need to get it together with this project..

Well its definitely possible Rap-Up interviewed her briefly & she said she's done a few tracks for Mary..still not listened to 'Feel Inside' stupidly think its cos of Nicki Minaj' name on there annoying bitch haha but I can't believe its took them this long to work together I imagine as with Ester their vocal & writing rawness would be perfect together so hope we get plenty Very Happy

Did it take them this long, did Andrea say in the interview? I assumed we just never got any, her faithfulness on albums tends to wobble I think, meaning it looks like she always goes back to the same people on most albums but doesn't always feel the need to release the tracks or something? No big predictable names like DarkChild or S&K on No More Drama for instance, although I'm guessing she must've went in with them at least on most albums bar Love & Life maybe...haven't really listened to it either, I tend to skip singles these days cause of all the added rappers etc too when I see F/ Lil' Wayne I'm like never mind...

Andrea should go back in w/ StarGate for this too BTW I don't know if she's worked with them at all in the last 5 years...

Nope she never said so I guess they could have, can definitely see them making magic together though like I say they're both raw vocalists & songwriters so they're a perfect match..gonna brave 'Feel Inside' haha

It would be weird if they hadn't y'know...but I think maybe Andrea may have left the business for a short while in the late 90s / early 00s...?

Well she had a couple of tracks with them about 5 years ago, and I think she had a track on the first thing StarGate ever did together, Noora's album...also the one she did for, or at least with Lee Ryan originally [Can't Make Me Love You] they placed with 2 different artists later on, The Blays in 2006 and Elliott Yamin recorded it for his last album so they should at least still be interested in working with her. [Lemar recorded another track by Lee Ryan from the same period but I don't know when he recorded it. CMMLY is a much more likely track for Lemar so for all I know they may very well both have been intended solely for Lemar's 2nd or 3rd album, whichever it was that came out then]

Elliott Yamin's last album ended up sooo cheap BTW I'd totally forgotten the album those latest StarGate tracks were for was even out, it had s MIDI Mafia tracks and nothing else I think haha

Yeah, I forgot he's had an album too the bonuses and such from the last one were fucking awesome especially 'Doorway' and 'Forever In You' did we even have a post for the last one ever? Didn't he have a Taj/StarGate one on there? & do we have the Andrea track by him?

I don't think so haha but the leaks and possible demos were way better than the album itself, that I do remember...

Yes, 2 versions of it actually, a strangely looped beat version [I'll do a post and / or up 'em all on box some time, can't be bothered right now, but you'll see what I mean then] of the old beat and an updated version that sort of had the "I Hate Love" treatment, the older was definetly better though, they haven't used that sound enough [the original "Lay Up Under Me"]. Around the same time a Taj track also leaked but I don't remember it making the cut...other than that I'm somehow convinced "Men Don't Cry" was for the album and we've had had some other leaks / possible demos...

Ew no thanks @ The-Dream taking away valuable slots from James & Makeba & Dean and the like...in a perfect world Bones would be James/Syience, This Time = Makeba/James/No ID, Break Down These Walls = Claude/Chuck Harmony, Can't Say = Andrea/S&K, Watch Me Work = Dean/StarGate and LOVE = The Roots...[other tracks have credits, added to main post]
