Nothing really exciting most looking forward to the Klas/B&A tracks and hopefully the Morier/B&A tracks are for her as well as that Morier/Freescha track cos I liked their track for Britney. Seen as she's picked 2 B&A tracks and one Tedder track for the album its a good sign Wink

Yeah, seen as they seem to be promoting her separately in the UK and US hopefully we'll get alternate albums [and therefore more tracks] as well, just have to see what she/the label picks...

The demo to 'Obsession' just dropped and I can definitely tell it was for Lambert now, it sounds just like him! Tedder is so talented its untrue he can write ANYTHING!

Oh right, I forgot about that, at first I assumed DJ Is My Lover was the same track, we didn't have Obsession then....the other Sky Ferreira track is also a spitback or maybe vice versa...

I wonder if this will ever see the light of day...Take It Slow better not be that supposedly amazing S&K track ugh

Going off the EP its gonna be fucking awesome cos every track on that is flawless I had it on rotation for weeks but in a recent interview she said she's trying an indie/UK rock sound at the moment with Paul Epworth and stuff so that doesn't sound too hot, she should definitely stick to this Electro/Rock/R&B sound its clearly working for her..

The other Tedder track "Catch Me If You Can" was also recorded by Burnham [they sound like an updated version of Hanson, they have those horrid Es?ionage tracks w/ Claude & August]

Well like I said I wonder if we'll ever see this at all, and if they're really going for the sound you described they're destined to fail, they should be going Haters Anonymous, like a Ke$ha that never had half her brain eaten away by crack...

Haha ahh yeah I see it oh god guess I'll have to check at least those 3 tracks out then.. Sky did her thing on 'Obsession' anyway it sounds much better by her than Tedder/a male think he was writing it from that gay/narcissist viewpoint anyway so it figures it would..

Apparently they're completely abandoning the whole electro-pop sound in favour of a Blondie-esque one.

I guess we're probably still gonna get some big names but we're gonna have to rely on leaks if we're ever ever gonna hear B Kidd, S&K or more B&A [their electronic stuff at least]...on a lighter B&A-related note, Miike Snow had said they'd have a new single before the end of the year which seemed unlikely at this point but they've just now confirmed pretty much everything about the new album is done, so it's probably out real soon. Single in the next 2 weeks or so, album in January?

but Blondie esque would be better at least we still have the chance for 80s/electronic tracks like 99 Tears & Sex Rules that way (hopefully the dopeEP defines the new direction)

That's awesome about Miike Snow hope they have some guests this time though (writing/singing) was there a full last album and was anybody on it except the 'group'?

There are 2 tracks she did with Bonnie / Josh Abraham & Oligee, "Paper Doll" & "Touch & Go" IIRC, I figure those could be for the 'new album' for instance, obviously Nicole Morier could easily cater to the new direction as well, it doesn't mean we don't get any decent collabos but I'd rather have B&A stuff in the sense of 108, Haters Anonymous & Hot Chick [even though it sounds like they sampled Sean Garrett's vocals on it I love that track along w/ BoA - Touched]...if I called the shots I would've had them on 8/9 tracks with plenty of Åhlund, the supposedly amazing SoulPower track, a B Kidd one if it was right, and maybe Dream Machine, some 'poppy' Greg Kurstin and even a StarGate/Sandy Vee one if it worked, and that'd be it...no Tedder spitbacks and 87 non-B&A Nicole Morier songs.

You seriously still have never listened to the album? You're fucking hopeless, Cult Logic & A Horse Is Not A Home at the very least are awesome, The Rabbit really grew on me after listening to it some more, but it's just essential in general, you can't seriously be a B&A fan and not even listen to the album...!?!?!? Some of the remixes they did as Miike Snow are also awesome, especially The Reeling & It Don't Move Me. I think I upped most of the remixes [by and for them] on box a while ago as well.

But yeah it was all them and Henrik Jonback 'unfortunately' with Black & Blue being a rework of some old early 00s track by Juliet[te]. We get a new song this coming Tuesday, notification was posted along with an atrocious Jackalope Christmas Sweater though so I do hope it's a proper track and not some Christmas song lol...also hope we get some writers but I sort of doubt we'll be seeing any Frankie or Clutch tracks lol maybe just maaaybe a spitback like Black & Blue...

BTW I read this a short while ago, I don't remember who it was, but a writer confirmed in an interview that the direction given for submissions for Britney's new album was Unusual You so hopefully we'll get some more B&A on that again...considering the amount of tracks she's recorded with them their amount of tracks per album is terrible...
